Kiddo craft supplies

crayons

I just organized Miri’s craft supplies, into two areas - one, a low drawer next to her learning tower in the kitchen, which has crayons, markers, chalks, paper, cardboard, containers, and all kinds of things she can use on her own - and a second, which has paints, brushes, glues, glitter, tiny stickers, and collage materials, all things she needs a little help or supervision to use, which is in the closet.   She loves nothing more than to sneak off and dump out a huge bucket of tiny things, like stamps or stickers, or anything else messy, which is sometimes fine but something that I need to control for my own sanity.

I’ve been thinking a lot about nurturing creativity in my daughter’s life, thanks in part to some wonderful blogs about parenting and creativity, and in anticipation of Amanda’s awesome-looking book (which officially comes out today I think).  So here are some lists of things to have on hand to do all kinds of wonderful projects with toddlers and/or kids.  Enjoy!
