 terrarium

Amy at Angry Chicken wrote a post about terrariums, which is so funny because I was just thinking about them.  I think I must have seen a picture of one in either the pile of old magazines I was going through the other day, or else in one of the gajillions of blogs I’ve recently added to my rss feed because, well, I’ve been surfing too much in my time off.   The picture I saw was of a sort of crazy giant retro terrarium on a stand, which looked like the kind of thing that would go in either a futuristic space house OR a 70s treehouse with macrame hammock chairs.  Either way, groovy.

So thanks to Amy I have more impetus to start a terrarium.  Our amaryllis turned out beautiful this year, it would be nice to continue to have growing things inside during the winter, and I think Miri would really like it.  (And if we don’t do a terrarium, maybe just a cactus or some other kind of funky little plant would be fun.)
