I am always entering giveaways online….. this one at Heather Hales designs is perfectly timed and I so hope to win, I really want to jump right into another embroidery project.  And the patterns are lovely.

Fun and fascinating: brand tags - creates a cloud tag based on the words people input when they think of a brand.  I never knew so many other people think ESPN is boring too!

I teach classical music history and am especially interested in opera.  I love it when my students are getting ready to go to their first opera.  It seems that my students in opera class are far more concerned with the experience when they go to an opera than the students who just have to go a symphony concert.  There is this air of a truly different culture and meaningful event… these photographs by Bill Hensen really capture the atmosphere of expectation before the opera starts.
